The City of Marion offers three major attractions including its signature Gardens of Matter Park, the Splash House water park, and the world-famous “Christmas City” Walkway of Lights holiday display. The three weekends for Splash House 2023 have been announced! This year marks the 10th anniversary of the popular poolside music festival.

There’s a concession stand with many options but the lines to get food and drink seem to always be long. During our visit, pizza was $2.50, hamburgers $3, pretzels $3, chips $1.50, walking taco $2, water $1, fountain drink $1, Gatorade $2, Candy $1, and ice cream $2. Four-on-the-floor is the call that we follow and the rhythm of our soul. Sound waves and pool splashes are where house and disco dreams are made. They include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting.

During August 18-19, it will be Chris Lake, Channel Tres, Kream, Bones b2b Lee Wells. Renaissance Palm Springs has panoramic views of the San Jacinto mountains, fire pits, and a huge pool and pool deck with lots of room to roam and dance. Margaritaville Resort is an island-inspired resort named after Jimmy Buffet’s iconic song and has a huge pool area and deck with a tropical paradise feel. Over three days, including Friday, Monday and Tuesday, lifeguards trained on water-rescue scenarios they may have to face as part of their jobs at the Splash House. Lifeguards with the Marion Splash House perform CPR on a training dummy as part of a water-rescue exercise Friday. Splash House will NOT open if the weather is 65 degrees or lower. The Kiddie Area is reserved for children who are 48 inches or smaller and features sprinklers and sprayers, water jets, and a dumping bucket. It’s located in the center of a shallow pool area with zero-depth entry. Coli typically begin two to eight days after being exposed to the bacteria.
The Splash House wave pool is the largest one I’ve seen at any public pool, amusement parks notwithstanding. Lifeguards are on duty at this large wave pool, watching for guests who are struggling with the strength of the waves, and children wearing live vests or floaties are not permitted to go deeper than four feet. There are times during the day when the wave pool has “Power Hour” when the waves are stronger and bigger than the rest of the day and there’s more space to body surf. During Power Hour, no one under 48 inches tall is permitted in the wave pool. When the sun goes down, the party shifts from poolside to plane-side with a unique after-hours show at the Palm Springs Air Museum, which has a variety of vintage war aircrafts on display.

Splash House, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, melds the best parts of music and pools. Founded in 2013 by siblings Tyler and Kelly McLean, the three-day music festival kicks off two parties this summer on weekends August and August 18-20. Each resort has its own vibe, so guests can find a party and atmosphere that suits their tempo. A shuttle is also available to transport music fans to each of the host hotels so they can experience all the locations.

Host hotel packages for the August festival are sold out, but there are offsite hotels such as the Hilton Palm Springs and Mahala Hotel that have availability. The only other wave pools we know about in Indiana are at Holiday World Splashin’ Safari and the new Murphy Aquatic Center in Avon. Attractions include a lazy river, two racer slides, ‘big flush’ slide, large wave pool, and kiddie play area with a play pad topped with a large bucket water-drop making a big splash! We have concession stands and plenty of seating for our guests including an event room rental. Our friendly staff can’t wait to greet you and help you have a wonderful experience.
